Why This Has to Be Faxed
College Board keeps AP scores online for four years after the exam. After that they are archived, and archived scores are not available through your student account. To send them to a college, scholarship program, or employer, you fill in the Archived AP Score Request form, sign it, and fax or mail it to AP Services.

What to Send
The completed Archived AP Score Request form, signed. College Board needs your full name as it was when you took the exams, your date of birth, the years you tested, and the address or institution code of where the report should go. There is a fee per report, paid by card details on the form or as instructed on the current version.
Reports are sent by first-class mail within 15 business days of receipt. A confirmation copy comes to the address you give.
SAT and CLEP Archived Scores
The same four-year archive rule applies to SAT scores, and CLEP scores expire after 10 years for tests from July 2022 onward or 20 years for earlier tests. Each has its own College Board request process. Check the current SAT or CLEP page for the right form and destination before sending, since they are not always the same as AP.

Because College Board removes scores from the online system after four years. Archived scores exist only in their records and are released by written, signed request. There is no online form for it.
Do I need an account to fax College Board?

Does the fax need a cover sheet?
Not required, but it helps. Put your full name, date of birth, and “Archived AP Score Request” on it so the request is identified before anyone reads the form. You can add one on the send page in a few seconds.
What should I check before sending?
That the form is the current version from College Board’s site, that it is signed, that your name matches what you used when you tested, and that the recipient institution code is right. A wrong code sends your scores to the wrong college.
Can I send this from my phone?
Yes. Photograph the signed form in good light with the page flat, or scan it, and upload from any browser. Nothing to install.
How do I know what went into the fax?
Your confirmation email records the page count and exact time. Keep your own copy of the signed form as well.
Is my score request stored after sending?

Receiving a reply
How long does College Board take after receiving my fax?
Reports go out by first-class mail within 15 business days of receipt. Faxing means that clock starts the day you send rather than a week later when a letter arrives.
Is my fax confirmation proof College Board received the request?
It proves the fax was transmitted and accepted by their machine, with the destination, page count and exact time. It does not prove someone has processed it. Keep it, and if nothing arrives after 15 business days, call College Board with that confirmation in hand.
What if College Board faxes something back to me?
